There is about About section of this site, but I would like to share my vision of this site with you all.
I am just getting this started and it’s a hobby at the moment. A hobby I hope to make into something bigger someday.
I love music, I love to create and that’s where Creatively Musical came from. I can consider myself a former musician, I did play the violin throughout grade school, junior and senior high school. Admittedly I haven’t hardly played since. I was a few credits short of a music minor in college.
I love music. Passionately love music. A wide variety of music. I had a music teacher once ask the class what kinds of music do you like and I answered all kinds. She quickly corrected me and said that I haven’t heard all of the music in the world, so I couldn’t have listened to or liked all kinds of music. That’s the truth, but as I get older I am on a mission to discover and listen to as much new music as I can for the rest of my life.
My love of music has gotten me where I am today and taken me places I’d never thought I would be. I have made friends and acquaintances with musicians and other like minded music lovers. It’s only made me more passionate about listening to the music I love and discovering music I have just to hear.
On that note, I am on a couple of mailing lists for music press releases and follow a lot of music media sites. I try and post those press releases and interesting articles here on CreativelyMusical.com and share them with those who stumble across my site. My job keeps me pretty busy, so I miss a few here and there, but I try to post as many as I can, especially about the artists and music I like, but in general I’ll post almost anything music related.
I don’t write articles yet, I simply post the press releases or links thereto. I do love to write, but time runs out quickly in my days and it’s all I can do right now. I have written reviews of a few CDs and someday hope to do more. But again, I get busy and just don’t always have the time to meet deadlines.
I would like the chance for artists that are similar to ones I have mentioned or maybe I haven’t heard at all to be shared on CreativelyMusical.com. To do that, just send me a link or a press release and I’ll try to post it. Since this is just getting started, I won’t promised a million readers, but a link exchange or just me posting a press release may help an artist get noticed by someone else.
My email is on my Contact page. I cant promise anything but that I will try and help you spread your information. I love music, I’ve learned a lot about music over the last fifteen years and I know that sharing information, music and links is the basics of being successful.
Just another note – I won’t post anything that I don’t feel comfortable posting. I won’t accept unsolicited materials to pass along to my full-time job. This site is all about me and me only. Yes, I work for Bret Michaels, but Creatively Musical is about me, it is me. It’s what I do in my personal time, as limited as that can be when we get busy. I do just want to help share music with the world.
