“We are excited about the bold moves and vibrant marketing strategy that Jo Dee has put behind this project,” says Steve Lassiter, SVP/Partner of APA Nashville.   “Jo Dee has gone outside the box and enlisted total support from her fans.  Jo Dee is determined to provide today’s country fans with the music they want and how they want it…and she is succeeding.”

Messina told Billboard writer Chuck Dauphin that the creation of the single and forthcoming album was a group effort… with her fans.  Via snippets posted on JO DEE’S Twitter, Facebook and YouTube accounts, her supporters were able to observe the recording process, perform on the record, and choose her current single.  Over 220,000 impressions were tallied during the 10-day voting periodand“Peace Sign” was the winner.

“It was a close call between the songs,” admits Messina.  “Now that the fans have spoken, it’s up to Country radio to tell the rest of the story.”  “Peace Sign,” written by Amy Dalley, Scott Ledger and Tyler Hayes, and produced by Messina, is the first radio single from her forthcoming full-length album.  The song is now available for purchase on iTunes.
