Nashville, TN. August 13th, 2014 – Consonant Music, a Nashville-based entertainment company, is pleased to announce The All Time Low Stars feat. Kenny Olson (Kid Rock’s Twisted Brown Trucker Band) and Peter Keys (Lynyrd Skynyrd, P-Funk) live at Hard Rock Cafe in downtown Nashville on Tuesday, September 16th, 2014 at 7:00 PM CST. The performance will include special guest appearances by Alexander King (A&E’s original series “Big Smo”) and Laura Reed (Sony / ATV). Remedy 9 will set the fantastic evening of rock, funk and soul in motion with a debut live performance and video shoot.

Consonant Music, founded by music and technology veteran Dustin Templeton in 2013, is proud to present this group of talented musicians.

“I’m incredibly proud to work with all of the people involved in putting this show on. The artists are top-notch, and so are our co-sponsors. It’s a pleasure to work with professionals who share the similar goal of keeping integrity and soul into live music. This show might just bend some people’s minds,” Templeton said.

The evening’s headlining act will be The All-Time Low Stars featuring Kenny Olson and Peter Keys. The Low Stars are a vibrant blues-rock band that brings funk and soul to the stage along with gritty rock ‘n’ roll sounds that both Olson and Keys create.  Kenny Olson, a founding member of Kid Rock’s Twisted Brown Trucker Band, now lives in Nashville and has collaborated with Keys to form the band full of phenomenal musicians. The All Time Low Stars includes J. Kott on bass, Michelle Lambert on fiddle and Timothy Haney on the drums. The collective band brings a mixture of talent together and combines it into an exciting blues-rock experience. When asked about The All Time Low Stars Keys replied,

“We are a group of seasoned musicians capable of entertaining even the most jaded fans. We collectively have played for millions, traveled around the world, and kicked its ass on every continent. We live for this sh*t!”

Special guest performers include Alexander King and Laura Reed. King co-stars in A&E’s original series “Big Smo” as singer/hype man touring in Smo’s band as well as a featured writer and artist on his Kuntry Livin’ album. King brings an interesting twist to the show with his unique style of “Southern Rock Hip-Hop.”

King recently released his debut single “Southern Fried” that features Olson and Reed and contains an appearance by Keys. King plans to release his debut EP American Gypsy later this year.

“It’s incredible to have so many talented people get down with you organically. These folks are some of my favorite artists in music, and it’s an honor to rock with them,” King stated about the show.

The opening act Remedy 9 features Kayla Dillon, who is in the process of moving to Nashville from New Jersey to bring her music to life.

“I am honored for the opportunity to open for such incredible talent; and beyond excited to rock out, and debut Remedy 9 with music that is so dear to me,” Dillon said.

Consonant Music is collaborating with Hard Rock Cafe (http://www.hardrock.com/cafes/nashville/), Nashville Sign and Graphics (http://nashvillesignandgraphics.com), the area’s #1 promotional material provider, and The Record Shop (http://therecordshopnashville.com), a full-service recording studio and production company, to promote the show and capture the experience on video. MIDNIGHT RED SET FOR THE TODAY SHOW ON MARCH 10TH

Source: Webster PR

NEW YORK, NY (March 3, 2014) – America’s Boy Band, MIDNIGHT RΞD, will be bringing the redheads back to The Today Show on March 10th just as they wrap up their tour dates with Austin Mahone.  Anthony, Thomas, Colton, Eric and Joey will be reuniting with their honorary redheads, Kathie Lee and Hoda, for a performance during the fourth hour.

“Being invited back on the Today Show is something we are really excited about. This time we get to show Kathie Lee and Hoda our sick dance moves,” says Eric Secharia.

The boy band made their last appearance in October being introduced as Elvis Duran’s Artist of the Month and performed an acoustic version of their hit single, “Take Me Home.” Their fans traveled from all over the U.S. to witness the performance in Time Square by greeting them with wigs, signs and even staying over the night to have the best seat in the house. Kathie Lee and Hoda were crowned with two personal red wigs to match the MNR fans who are dubbed as the Redheads.  After the show, the fans traded their red wigs for red sauce as they were treated with a pizza party and a free performance byMidnight Red to show their appreciation.

Midnight Red will be back on tour starting April 8 with The Wanted.

About MIDNIGHT RΞD:
United by their intensely pure talent and passion for music of all kinds, MidnightRed’s members hail from all over the U.S.  As the second signing to the partnership between Grammy Award-winning producer/songwriter RedOne’s 2101 Records and Capitol Music Group, Midnight Red is now teaming up with RedOne (Lady Gaga, U2, J.Lo, Pitbull) to create a debut EP that showcases their powerhouse vocals and harnesses the combustible energy of their live show.

Near-lifelong singers and dancers hailing from wildly different backgrounds,Midnight Red saw its inception when Anthony and Eric met through their mutual vocal coach. A star dancer for Monsters of HipHop, Anthony had tried out as a backup dancer for Janet Jackson at age 12, then made it to the final round of auditions only to find he was too young to go on tour. After Anthony connected with Eric (through a vocal coach), the two reached out to Thomas, who soon relocated to L.A. from his rural Texas hometown to join the group. A self-described music obsessive “raised by MTV,” Thomas devoted his high school years to scouting out any opportunity to sing onstage, and had crossed paths with Eric through a singing competition when he was 15. Next, the group tracked down Colton after stumbling across a YouTube video of the aspiring singer/school-chorus star covering Jesse McCartney’s “Leavin.’” To round out the lineup, Midnight Red’s then-manager tapped Joey, another aspiring singer who was attending California State University, Northridge (and whose singer/songwriter father, Joey Diggs Sr., had recorded vocals with the likes of Smokey Robinson, Whitney Houston, and Rod Stewart).

SISTER TRIO MICHAELIS SIGNS WITH APA

Source: So Much Moore Media

Nashville, TN (March 4, 2014) – APA has signed the sister trio MICHAELIS.  The Michaelis sisters – Meagan (25), Mallory (21) and Madeline (18) have been winning over audiences with their soulful, sultry harmonies for more than a decade throughout their native Texas.  Meagan sings lead vocals, with Mallory providing the low harmony and rhythm guitar, while Madeline offers high harmony and multi-instrumental talents.  The trio is currently featured in Season 3 of the popular national syndicated documentary series, “Troubadour, TX,” where they appear along with Kris Kristofferson, Wade Bowen, Roger Creager, Randy Rogers and others.

“These young ladies are a breath of fresh air,” notes their agent Cass Scripps at APA Nashville.  “Incredible harmonies, stand-out songwriting and a vibrant stage presence are the trio’s calling cards, and we’re excited to be on board so early in their career.”

“We’re in a good place right now,” notes Meagan Michaelis.  “We’re thrilled to be partnered with APANashville and excited to get back out on the road.”

Over the past two years the trio collaborated with visionary producer Dave Brainard (Jerrod Niemann, Brandy Clark) before releasing their well-received single, “Shoot Straight,” last July.  The single was featured as a Highway Find track on SiriusXM Radio’s The Highway Channel, which inspired the video that aired on CMT, MTV and VH1.

The Michaelis sisters are managed by Artist Management Partners (AMP), headed by Tim DuBois in Nashville, TN.  Pete Olson handles day-to-day management for the siblings, who join a roster that boasts Charlie Worsham, Wade Bowen, Neal McCoy and Roger Creager.

Megadeth Launches 2014 World Tour in April

Megadeth’s Dave Mustaine to Appear as Featured Soloist
with San Diego Symphony on April 12th, 2014
MEGADETH_publicity_Myriam_Santos_med (1)
SAN DIEGO, CA. (March 5, 2014) – Multi-platinum selling thrash metal band Megadeth is set to embark on a world tour in over 25 countries across four continents starting in April.  The tour follows a first-ever performance at Copley Symphony Hall on April 12, where Dave Mustaine will collaborate with the San Diego Symphony, demonstrating his classically-influenced technique as a featured soloist in “Symphony Interrupted.”

Beginning at 8:00 PM, Mustaine and the Symphony will perform renditions of the “Summer” and “Winter” movements from Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons”, and Bach’s “Air” (on the G string), in a completely original way.  Richard Wagner’s “Ride of the Valkyries” and Antonin Dvorak’s “New World Symphony” will also be performed by the symphony during the concert.  For more information, visitSanDiegoSymphony.org.

When asked about “Symphony Interrupted,” Mustaine said “I love the challenge.  I really admire this genre of music because of the level of skill required and there are great dark undertones in these incredible pieces.  The marriage of two such distinctly different genres is one thing, but cross-pollinating different societies is a whole new level of badass!  I’m used to them being before me, but it’s a bit unnerving to know so many talented eyes will be on my back.  It’s a bit intimidating, and to be given the opportunity to interpret these melodies – to meld what I am best at with what they incredibly present, it is a great honor.”

THE ROYS Named Top Bluegrass Artist at 10th Annual International Acoustic Music Awards

Source: Webster PR

TheRoys_2013_publicity_lrg
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (February 17, 2014) – THE ROYS, award-winning brother/sister duo, were named Top Bluegrass Artist at the 10th Annual International Acoustic Music Awards (IAMA) on Wednesday. The IAMA promotes excellence in acoustic music performance and artistry, acoustic artists in various genres.

“Another Minute,” a song penned by Lee Roy in fond remembrance of his grandfather and released on THE ROYS’ recent hit-album Gypsy Runaway Train, competed against thousands of entries from all over the world, including (but not limited to) Australia, Canada, Japan, Brazil, Germany, USA, and South Africa. Winners were chosen by a Blue Ribbon Judging Committee comprised of music industry professionals including A&R managers from record labels, publishers and producers and judged equally on music performance, production, originality, lyrics, melody and composition.

“What an honor it is to be recognized internationally for this song!” says an elated Lee Roy. “My grandfather was such an incredible person, and the time I had with him was so precious!  Looking back, I realized how much he helped to shape my life and I set out to write a song about it. Fans just immediately connected with it, so we included it on our latest album. It’s really cool to win this award but even better that my grandfather helped me to win it!”

“When Lee brought me this song, it brought tears to my eyes,” says Elaine Roy. “Pepere [French for grandfather] would be humbled by it all, but so proud that his grandson was able to write something that would resonate with fans all over the world.  We couldn’t be more thrilled!”

IAMA is sponsored by SiriusXM Radio, D’Addario Strings, Acoustic Café Radio Show,  SongU.com, New Music Weekly, Broadjam,  Sonicbids.com , Loggins Promotion, Airplay Access, NoisyPlanet.net,  and Kari Estrin Management & Consulting.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (February 17, 2014) – This March, PBS viewers will be treated to the world television premiere of a never-before-seen historic concert featuring Sam Moore and some of the biggest names in blues, soul and rock history performing their greatest hits. Recorded during a live Presidential Inaugural Concert Event in 1989 for President George H.W. Bush, the video and audiotapes of this concert were presumed lost for nearly 20 years after the untimely death of Lee Atwater, the concert organizer and host.

A CELEBRATION OF BLUES & SOUL: THE 1989 INAUGURAL CONCERT is part of special programming premiering on PBS stations beginning March 1, 2014.

A CELEBRATION OF BLUES & SOUL
features Sam Moore’s performance of “Soul Man,” Dr. John’s performance of “Right Place, Wrong Time,” Bo Diddley’s performance of “Hey! Bo Diddley,” with Ronnie Wood from the Rolling Stones, “Hoochie Coochie Man,” performed by Willie Dixon with Albert Collins, fellow Blues Hall of Fame guitarist Joe Louis Walker and Delbert McClinton, and McClinton’s own performance of “Just A Little Bit,” with both Albert Collins and a stunning duet by 5th Beatle Billy Preston and Carla Thomas performing the Sam & Dave classic “When Something Is Wrong With My Baby”.

“PBS viewers are in for a once-in-a-lifetime musical treat,” said Joyce Moore, one of the principal producers of the 1989 concert. “This broadcast of the concert originally called ‘A Celebration for Young Americans’ is especially significant because it contains truly magnificent performances from brilliant American icons we have since lost — Billy Preston, Willie Dixon, Albert Collins, Bo Diddley, Duck Dunn, Lafayette Leake and Stevie Ray Vaughan. It was an honor and the thrill of a lifetime to have been part of and associated with this inaugural event when it occurred in 1989.”

In addition, the special features nearly 20 minutes of dazzling historic Stevie Ray Vaughan performances including “Superstition,” “Love Struck Baby” (with guest artist Jimmie Vaughan), and “Frosty,” with guest artists Jimmie Vaughan and Blues Hall of Fame legend Albert Collins and Rolling Stone Ronnie Woods.

Finally, A CELEBRATION OF BLUES & SOUL has the elements of being a very special tribute to the legendary artists who recorded for Memphis’ Stax Records. Including Eddie Floyd’s performance of “Knock on Wood,” Moore’s “Soul Man”, the and a stirring Carla Thomas and Billy Preston rendition of “When Something Is Wrong With My Baby.” These performances also include Rock and Roll Hall of Fame guitarist Steve Cropper and bassist Donald “Duck” Dunn from the Stax Records legendary group Booker T and the MG’s, who played on the original studio recordings for these songs, and fellow Stax guitarist Michael Toles of the Bar-Kays. The companion pledge drive dvd also features Stax label mate William Bell performing the Albert King classic, Booker T penned “Born Under A Bad Sign”.

The original video for A CELEBRATION OF BLUES & SOUL was professionally recorded with seven cameras, along with a separate 24-track audio recording. When these original recordings were relocated six years ago, the original video was restored, re-mastered, color-corrected, and converted to HD, and the audio was remixed to a 6-channel, 5.1 format by the legendary audio engineer Ed Greene, who has won more than 20 Emmy® Awards for sound mixing and engineering, for programs such as American Idol, and numerous productions of the Grammy Awards® and the Academy Awards®
