Title Track Hits #10 on Play MPE Country Top-20 Downloads

CD400_outNashville, TN (June 11, 2013) – Andy Ross, star of Maximum Archery, a top-rated program on the Sportsman Channel, releases his sophomore album, Cold Dead Handtoday to eagerly awaiting fans. Ross’ intentions for the project were not aimed at the mainstream country listener, but rather a reflection of his personal experiences and beliefs as one of the most successful hunters in the world, one of the most hated men in the world (by animal rights activists) and his down-to-earth country upbringing. Produced by Doug Grau and engineered by Mark Capps, the album is not designed to be politically correct, but boldly addresses current topics including the Second Amendment (“Cold Dead Hand”), corruption within the music industry (“Deal with the Devil”) and his own angels/demons (“Outlaw Women and Whiskey”). “Cold Dead Hand,” which was released in May, is being widely adopted by country conservatives as an anthem for gun rights, and recently hit #10 on Play MPE Country Top-20 Downloads. To drive home his stance, Ross is unabashedly running a contest to give away .40 cal Limited Edition Maximum Archery Glock handguns. (To enter, please visit

Ross co-wrote ten songs of the 11-track project.  Other writers include Little Texas’ founders Porter Howell and Del Gray, singer/songwriter Jamie Lee Thurston, as well as Templeton Thompson, who has had cuts for artists such as Reba McEntire, Jo Dee Messina, Sherrie Austin, Montgomery Gentry andBryan White.  The album also includes three live tracks.  For more information, please visit

In 2010, Ross was looking for a unique opening song with a particular “feel” for the 5th season of his show, Maximum Archery. Influenced by his passion for music, he decided to write his own. Encouraged by the response of hunting and country music fans alike, Ross worked alongside some of Nashville’s top songwriters to release his first CD You Ain’t Seen Crazy Yet in 2011.

Ross is known worldwide for his show, Maximum Archeryfeaturing his trademark brand of adventure and skill. Now filming its eighth season, Maximum Archery continues to break new ground and rewrites the script for television programming featuring outdoor activities. The show airs Wednesdays at 3:30 p.m., Fridays at 10:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 1:30 a.m. (all times are eastern and are subject to change—check local listings).

Ross’ appreciation and passion for hunting have also led to a wide array of product lines specific to the outdoorsman and hunter, including some of the world’s best hunting bows (ROSS ARCHERY INC), musical instruments (KROSSROAD GUITARS—“Where Music Meets the Outdoors”), wines specifically designed to pair with wild game (VELVET ANTLER) and video games (MAXIMUM ARCHERY—THE GAME). Andy will debut a new line of revolutionary bows this fall through his new company AMBUSH ARCHERY. For more information on Andy Ross, please visit
